We bring 30+ years of HR experience from both corporate boardrooms and small business owners’ offices or remote locations. That means we understand the difference: what works for a corporate giant rarely fits a growing SME – so we don’t force it to.
We know employment law and we help you to operate effectively with it.
Simply put, we provide expert advice, but without the overheads.
We cost significantly less than an in-house HR resource but our clients receive decades of experience in solving complex people problems pragmatically, and with your business in the forefront of our minds.

Yvonne Phillips
Hi, I’m Yvonne — founder of Olyvetree, and your main point of contact.
I am a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (FCIPD), the highest level of recognition awarded by the professional body for HR and the People Profession. It’s a status reserved for those who can prove exceptional leadership and influence at the top of the industry — and, just as importantly, who truly understand business and people. I am also qualified in Employment Law.
I have been doing this for over 30 years, and employees and employers still manage to surprise me — sometimes with what they can achieve with the right support, and sometimes with just how wrong things can go without it.
I have spent my career at both ends of that spectrum and at every point in between.
I am proud to say I still love every minute of it.
